Yellow Umbrella

Don't let rain bring you down! A sunny yellow umbrella and some heart shaped rain drops will certainly bring a smile to your friend's face.

A bit of watercoloring and sponging add interest to your design.

Start off with a sheet of paper that is 4 x 12 inches. Score everyone 4 inches to create a tri fold card. Embellish as desired. Remember to add some interest to the inside as well!

Happiness Is...

Here is a layout I did using the Happiness stamp set. I like this set because of the variety in the dot set & the flower set. This week I used the dot borders but I have plans for the flowers very soon. This is such a cool stamp set!

So for this layout, I used the single dot border stamped in black on the grey striped patterned paper. Then I used the four row dot border stamp in two different spots on this page. Unfortunately, it didn't scan as well. I stamped with a grey chalk ink and it's not showing up so well in the scan.

Hope you're inspired to check out this stamp set!

Shake Up Your Valentine's Day

Hey there!  It has been a while, but I'm back to share a card with you.

It seems like I get to scrap more for Valentine's Day than I do for just about any other holiday.  It's a more calm time of year so I have more free time to work on projects (plus there is some cute Valentine stuff out there!).

I decided to make a shaker card to share with you today.  Check it out...

The first thing that I did was stamp some of the small hearts from the A Hundred Hearts set onto some white paper with Versamark ink.  I made three of them and embossed one with the Cherry scented gelly powder, one with the Hawaiian Breeze gelly powder and one with the plumeria gelly powder.  My scraproom smelled so good while I was working on this card :)

The shaker box is madde from layers of foam adhesive that I made with my Xyron machine.  I cut the heart for the top out from a shape that I drew, and I used pinking shears because I thought it was cute.  I used papers from a little American Crafts stack I picked up at Target and the other items on the card are Stampin' Up inks, a Jenni Bowlin Fiskars punch, twine by The Twinery, ribbon by May Arts, and heart sequins by Queen and Co.

I also threw some beads in there for a little more sparkle in the shaker.  This took a little bit to put together (I didn't start out with a real plan for the shaker), but I LOVE how it turned out!  I hope you're inspired to make a little something with your gel-a-tin stamps this week!

Chevron Love

Hello, everyone! It's Jessi here, from Kissin' Krafts! Can you feel the love in the air? With Valentine's Day next month, have you started you cards or projects yet?

I made a CAS card using the gel-a-tins Gingerbread House Set and Cheverontastic Set:

I love the kraft, white and red combination, which makes it perfect for Valentine's! Using one of the Cheverontastic stamps to create the fun border at the bottom of the card. A red heart is added for a special POP. Foam letter stickers are used for the sentiment on the card. The last step is to round the corners of the card.

Thanks for stopping by today! Check out our amazing stamp selection at our online store!

A new year means a new set of holidays. Let's start stamping! Show your love to your valentines this year using Gel-a-tins stamps!

Here I stretched the use of the Christmas set "Gingerbread House" into a sweet Valentine's set. I used the chocolate kiss and heart stamps to create a background for this die cut bear. You are going to want to add this set to your shopping cart so you are prepared for every holiday that involves LOVE and CHOCOLATE. (Wait...chocolate is perfect for any holiday, right?)

If You Want The Rainbow...

“If you want the rainbow you
gotta put up with the rain.”
~ Dolly Parton

This quote was just perfect for the framed mini canvas inspired by the “Raindrops Are Falling” collection.
I designed my mini canvas around the sweet girl with her umbrella in this collection.

I created the background by stamping the “Crackle Paint” background stamp onto sticky back canvas.

After trimming the canvas, I sprayed mist over the stamped background image.
Once dried (I used my heat gun to speed up the process), I stuck the background canvas onto the photo frame inset.

Layering sky blue and white paint was my next step. Because I wanted the background stamp
to show through the painted layer I used a butter knife to scrape off the excess paint.

The girl with her umbrella was then stamped with Archival Ink onto the canvas.

I used Faber Castel Pitt Pens to color random rain drops on the rain stamp and then stamped the rain drops on my canvas.
I used a Pitt Pen to color my girl’s umbrella and boots red, too. I just love the contrast of the red with the other colors!

To add a little dimension to the stamped rain drops I mixed glitter with Helmar Craft & Hobby PVA Glue and
then painted the mixture onto the rain drops. If you look closely you will see that it adds a tiny bit of glittery sheen to the rain drops.

The quote was my finishing touch.

My daughter loved this so much she asked if she could have it for her room. Of course she can!

For Your Honey Bear

Hello, gel-a-tins friends! Thank you for stopping by today! It is Jessi P. here and I am excited to share you a card using the Honey Bear Stamp Set.

I don't waste time skipping from Christmas to Valentine's projects! So I decided that the cute bear from the Honey Bear set would make a great card.

Here it is:

I stamped the bear in brown and used a variety of markers to color in the bear. (One New Year's Resolution for myself...learn to color with markers!!!) Next was to cut out the bear. I also cut a slit between the bear's arm and leg to slip in the twine as I put the card together.

Using a heart shape punch, I created the balloons by stamping the sentiment and using ink to color the hearts. Twine is attached to make the balloon strings from the heart to the bear's hand.

The last step was to piece the card together. Using a patterned paper for the background.

Joy, Peace and Love

This week I put together a tag using mainly die cut pieces by Amy Tan. I used the mini retro flakes & sayings stamp & walnut stain distress ink.
Here is a close up of the stamping:

I cut a piece of the silver gelly gem off & adhered it at the bottom. You can't go wrong with a little bling!

Super Star Tag

Hi everyone! It's great to be with you today! Today I'm sharing a funky tag I made using the Gel-à-Tins Super Star set!

I love stars, especially funky ones like these! I decided they should steal the show and star in plenty of bright colours:

Pretty fun huh?! Let me tell you what I did!

I started by die cutting a tag from cream cardstock. I then stamped the stars in a variety of colours in a random fashion. Sometimes chaos is better than order!

I then stamped the letters to allude to the 'Super Star' statement of this tag, allowing careful positioning so that the next 'character' was that yellow star itself!

Some ribbon and twine were all that was then needed to finish off this tag!

Supplies Used:

Super Star

Military Stars stamp set (Papertrey Ink)
On Broadway Alphabet stamp set (A:Muse)
Pure Poppy, Berry Sorbet, Hibiscus Burst, Harvest Gold, Limeade Ice, Hawaiian Shores inks (Papertrey Ink), Versafine Onyx Black ink (Tsukineko)
Vintage Cream cardstock (Papertrey Ink)
Tag Sale #3 Die (Papertrey Ink)
True Black Swiss Dot Satin Ribbon (Papertrey Ink)
Twine (May Arts)

I'll be back soon to share another project, have a fabulous day and thanks for stopping by!!!

Hugs & Kisses

I love being able to use seasonal stamp sets for different seasons. When you can do that with a stamp set, you know it is a versatile one! With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, I knew the heart and candy kiss stamp in the “Gingerbread House" collection could easily be incorporated into a card filled with love.

The heart and candy kiss stamps just screamed “hugs & kisses” to me. So I designed my card around the stamped images, each of which is stamped onto cardstock & punched out into a circle.

Bling in the New Year!

Hope the New Year is treating you well! It's Jessi from Kissin's Krafts and I am going to share a CAS card that focuses on the gelly gem rolls. The gelly gem rolls are available in a variety of colors. Check out the store to see the colors.

Here is the New Year's card:

I used the gold gelly gem roll to highlight the year. A polka dot embossing folder was used to add dimension to the background. To draw attention to the dots, I stamped a dot image from the "Gingerbread House" set on thirteen random dots.

Thank you for stopping by today! Have a happy New Year!
